How ironic that in the week that I'm about to begin the greatest adventure of my life, I'm back in this house saying goodbye for the millionth time. Betrayed by my heart which refuses to let go of things repaid and long over."
"But of course this was no ordinary person this was your soulmate, and now your soulmate wonders the earth blissfully unaware of the gapping hole that lies within."
"But I suppose that is how this place is supposed to be, full of gapping holes through which you can peer and see ... "
"See what?"
"See the darkness and loneliness that lives within all humans regardless of race or creed. Indeed in our world there is much loneliness. Anyhow in the end that doesn't explain why I'm still here. Is it the pangs of love? Is it the comfort in being in a place so familiar from having spent so much time in it?"
"Actually I think you're asking the wrong question. You're asking why am I here, but you should be asking where am I going and when. These are the important questions. The reality of being in a place is not as important as what will happen afterwards, because even if you're in Hell, by knowing from where and when you'll be getting out of there to somewhere else is more than enough to think about. The present moment is the present moment, there is little you can do about it or the past. What you can influence is the future, the why's and the wherefores have their place but in this instance they are not really relevant because this house is hell and you need to get out. Staying out is again something for the future"
"I think I see the point."
